Dear Friend, I have good news to report: anti-wolf forces in Congress have failed in their attempt to hijack a spending bill and strip wolves of their endangered species protection. Their measure, which would have opened the door for states in the Northern Rockies to kill hundreds of wolves, collapsed at the 11th hour -- thanks in no small part to thousands of outraged phone calls and tens of thousands of email messages from our Members and BioGems Defenders. Thank you for standing up for wolves and fighting off this latest attack. Your voices were heard! The bad news is, our victory is only a temporary reprieve. We have less than 30 days to prepare for the next round of Congressional attacks on wolves.
