(Aletter to the editor from Moveon.org)

On behalf of the entire MoveOn team, I'm writing to thank you for all your hard work in this election—and especially for the time you spent volunteering with the Lee Fisher campaign. We all knew this election was going to be tough, but MoveOn members have never shied away from a tough fight. Tens of thousands of us volunteered to get out the vote in the final weeks, and the feedback from the campaigns we supported has been overwhelming: A staffer for one of our campaigns told us, "MoveOn is a phenomenal force! Your volunteers on the ground are truly magnificent!"
Obviously, our efforts weren't enough to turn back the tide, and Fisher's loss is especially heartbreaking.

But already we've been hearing from MoveOn members who are ready to continue to the fight—and so that's exactly what we're doing to do in the weeks and months to come. If you're interested in getting involved in MoveOn's ongoing grassroots organizing campaigns, consider joining a MoveOn Council. MoveOn Councils are teams of committed members who organize in their communities and build leadership among MoveOn members.

MoveOn Councils are already hard at work planning to lead the way in the major fights ahead—and to be a strong, independent voice to keep Congress and the president honest when lobbyists and corporations stand in the way of progress. There's an active MoveOn Council in your area. If you aren't yet a member, can you sign up to join your local Council to stay involved? Click here to find a Council near you:Moveon.org Counci
l I'm proud of everything we've accomplished together, and I hope you are, too. So again: Thank you for volunteering, and for all you do. –Adam, Duncan, Anna, Michael, and the rest of the team Want to support our work? We're entirely funded by our 5 million members—no corporate contributions, no big checks from CEOs. And our tiny staff ensures that small contributions go a long way. Chip in here.
